George Gammon's Weekly Wrap-up (10/18/25)

Capitalism built America’s industrial might. Bureaucracy will bury it.

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat itwith a government-mandated markup.”

If you want to know how civilizations collapse, start with a price floor.

It sounds harmless enough…a little nudge from the state to “protect” a strategic industry.

But history is clear: once politicians start setting prices, markets stop setting priorities. And when markets stop setting priorities, economies start breaking bones they didn’t even know they had.

The latest chapter in this recurring farce? A proposal to impose minimum prices…yes, floors, not ceilings…on rare earth minerals.
